Dark Image
An Example of Dark Image:

 |
This is the most common mistake that virtual tour photographers make.
Here are some possible causes of this problem:
1. When using the digital camera in automatic mode, sources of bright light can
cause the less illuminated places to become dark, because the camera automatically
adjusts the aperture and exposure value (EV) to the bright light.
Solution: Use the camera in manual mode to
adjust the aperture and exposure value. Arrange the sources of light to make
illumination as even as possible for the entire shooting area. For example, use
blinds to filter the bright light, or increase illumination of the room.
2. When a room does not have enough illumination.
Solution: Increase the illumination of
the room. If increasing illumination is not possible, use the camera in manual
mode to adjust the aperture, exposure value, or ISO value.
An Extreme Case of Dark Image: The image below is just too dark to be
processed into a virtual tour. It doesn't make any sense to present
this kind of image to consumers.

Minor Cases of Dark Images: Although the following images are not too dark, they look gloomy. This problem can be
easily resolved by increasing the exposure value (EV) in the camera settings. A brighter photo will be more appealing to
consumers.
