General Virtual Tour Navigation Instructions

Click , then click on the image to zoom in.
Click , then click on the image to zoom out.
Click , then click and drag the image to move through it.
Click to restart the tour.
Click to identify any "hotspots" or links in the image available for click through.

For Mac users using Internet Explorer

Problem: The virtual tour viewer is blinking some text

Solution: You will need to Download and install MRJ 2.2.5. The problem lies in the java version found in your operating system. Download instructions here.

NOTE: If you have downloaded and installed MRJ 2.2.5 and still have problems viewing virtual tours in Internet Explorer 5, please reinstall MRJ 2.2.5. This should allow you to view virtual tours.

For Mac IE and Netscape users

Problem: The virtual tour is not showing right at the viewer frame

Solution: Download and install the hot fix file from MGI, this update will move the VT into the view frame.

Resolution: To use a Java viewer with a Mac Photovista project, download the Java Developer's Kit for Mac.

For Windows XP users

Problem: The Microsoft Virtual Machine is missing when accessing MGI applet viewer.

Cause: Windows XP does not come with a Java Virtual Machine(JVM) installed. To run any java applet, including MGI's applet viewer, a JVM must be installed.

Microsoft provides the update available to existing Microsoft VM installations via Windows Update. More information will be posted at Microsoft site as it becomes available.

Problem: The VTs are not showing in the viewer

Possible Cause: Java Virtual Machine not enabled in web browser or has been corrupted

For WebTV Users

Getting Online: Using Internet Access Products

Q. What are the limitations of an Internet access product?

A. Limitations vary, depending on the product and, in some cases, the service it uses to connect to the Internet. For example, a small display screen on a cellular phone won't give you the same view of a website as a computer monitor or TV. Internet access products may not let you play certain games, use some audio or video features, send or receive certain attachments to email messages, or view information in formats like Java or PDF (Portable Document Format). You may be able to access information in a text format only. In addition, you may not be able to download information or software from the Internet to add features to your product the same way you can with a PC. You may have to wait for product upgrades from the manufacturer or Internet service provider.

Most Virtual Tour products use the Java script format which, based on the above information, may not be supported by WebTV. You may want to contact your Internet Access Provider directly and see if they plan to support this format in the future.

Problem: Cannot hear audio

Possible Cause: Flash not installed

Solution: Download Flash

 

Problem: Cannot hear audio

Possible Cause: Audio recently added or updated. The old audio is cached on your computer.

Solution: Clear your browser cache.

  • In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, Select Internet Options, and under 'Temporary Internet Files', click Delete Files.
  • In Mozilla Firefox, click the Tools menu, Select Options, and under Privacy, click "Clear" on the Cache section.
